Thursday night ultimate in Binh Thanh district |
|
SUC has begun playing small field ultimate every Thursday night from 8:30 to 10:00 pm at the Sân Bóng fields on D3 Street, Van Thanh Bac, ward 25 in Q. Binh Thanh. It's a fun, fast-paced game on a mini-soccer field, using indoor rules. Please arrive by 8:15 to be ready to play at 8:30 -- it's a popular set of fields and we are booked only for the exact times noted. Bring water, indoor football shoes (not outdoor cleats), and dark and white shirts. The fee depends on the number of players, and usually ranges from 20,000 to 40,000 VND per person. For help finding the field, call Vu at 0903 059 569 for Vietnamese or English; or Aaron at 090 888 0091 for Vietnamese, English, Spanish or Japanese; or look at "Trường Đại Học Giao Thông Vận Tải" in Google Maps, which locates the university next door. |

Welcome to the Saigon Ultimate Club! |
"What's Ultimate?" Ultimate Frisbee is a non-contact, fast-paced sport that combines some of the most exciting elements of other popular sports – the passing and flow of soccer (football), the jumping and pivoting of basketball, and the long “touchdown” catches of American football – resulting in a sport that is truly one of a kind.
Ultimate not only provides great exercise, but is also easy to learn, allowing beginners the chance to get involved from the very start. Best of all is the social aspect of Ultimate Frisbee. Guys and girls play together on the same team, resulting in a fun, relaxed atmosphere where long-lasting friendships are readily developed. So what are you waiting for? Come join us and see for yourself! |

Play and practice schedule |
|
SUC hosts a pick-up game (or sometimes even two) most Sundays at 4:00 at the RMIT fields (see directions). Everyone is welcome, including beginners and travelers just passing through town. It's fine to come a little early to chat, put on shoes, and toss around a bit before the game starts. To stay informed of which games are canceled for various reasons, it's best to join the mailing list. |
