[SUC] Saigon Ultimate League starts July 22 - Sign up now!

Dear SUCers,

The event that we've all been waiting for is finally here - it's time to launch the Saigon Ultimate League!

What: We will have a total of four teams, with approximately 10-12 players each. Teams will be comprised of players from SUC and the RMIT Ultimate Club. The season is 7 weeks long, beginning on Sunday, July 22, and concluding with a mini-tournament on Sunday, September 2.

Why: The guiding spirit of the league is to have fun and develop the camaraderie between our clubs while growing the sport of Ultimate in Vietnam. The league aims to develop the experience and skill level of our clubs through establishing a framework for friendly competition. Teams will be encouraged to practice together (and hang out together!), and games will be run according to normal UPA rules. 

Registration: To register, please reply to david.p.jensen at gmail.com, and give me your full name, phone number, and experience level. Registration deadline is Sunday, July 15. 

 Cost: The fee per player is 250,000 VND for 7 weeks, to be paid on July 15 or July 22. A discount is available to students. The player's fee covers the cost of field rental, jerseys, and on-field refreshments.

Team Selection: Captains will be chosen next week. Each team will have two captains - one representing the RMIT club, and one captain from SUC. After registration is closed, a draft will be held for the captains to select their teams. Team rosters and schedules will be announced lby email, and the first games will take place on Sunday, July 22 at RMIT at 4:00pm.
