Yo Saigon! Hanoi! Vudoo and Vuditoos/ Vuditaas! 

 

A quick stab on the world beach champs in Brazil. I have submitted the bid
for Vietnam and would like to know if you are:

*	100% sure of playing/ partayyying in Braaaa-zil
*	Interested (50-50)
*	Not interested/ don't care/ leave-me-alone-Lester-or-else...

 

If I don't get responses within the next two weeks (ending May 25, 2007), I
will open the slots to non-Vietnam associated players (i.e. stinky Durians,
Boracay enthusiasts, some Japanese hara-kiri players, et al).

Hi Lester,

 

Here is a quick update about the World Championships in Brazil 11-16
December:

 

1)       The official website is almost ready. Maybe one more week and
everything you need to know will be accessible

2)       The prices will be very good. For example the team fee is 100 euros
($135 USD) and player fee is 60 euros ($85 USD) if you pay before 30 June.
This does not include hotels or food, but from what I have seen so far, this
will also be very reasonable. Next week more about this.

3)       Think grass roots Beach Ultimate. The focus is playing hard and
partying hard (plus sun bathing, caipirinhas, palm trees, etc...). Like in
Portugal in 2004, this will be a very special World Championship. The
Brazilian players are getting excited and are working hard to make it a
wonderful event.

4)       There will be an international peace team participating that will
do some volunteer work in the area.

5)       There will be a unique Frisbee/Disc/Ultimate congress being held at
the same time

6)       There are still 50 countries that want to come. So now is the time
to start to talk to your players.

 

Just so I can have an idea... what is your gut feel on how many
players/teams you'll get from Vietnam? Just your feeling. Nothing more.
