[SUC] SUL Tourney recap

Hey folks,

Thanks again for contributing to a great tournament. Hope you all had fun! Here's a quick recap: 

The weather was a bit cool and damp, but deejay Tino's music put us all in the right mood. The fun kicked off at 2:00pm with the pre-semis, where Yellow came back from a big deficit to win a close 8-7 game over Black in the time cap. Meanwhile, White started strong and held on for a 7-5 victory over Blue in the other pre-semis match-up. Thus, Yellow emerged as the surprise #1 seed, while Blue slipped to #4. In the semifinals, Yellow carried over the momentum from the previous game with a 10-5 win over Blue, while Black continued its mastery over White with a 10-5 win. Blue exacted their revenge in the consolation match against White, going ahead 9-1 in a beer game before the teams lost track of score. In the finals, Yellow utilized a balanced attack and a handful of opportune hucks to grab a quick lead and hold on for the 10-6 win against Black.

Afterwards we had about 30 people show up for dinner and raucous merriment at Pepperonis. SUC challenged RMIT to a boatrace and won by the narrowest of margins. RMIT is determined to get their pay-back on the field next week....
