Yo!

Here comes the weekly bullshit email!

Last week, the League has witnessed another hard-struggling round to every single player. Most of leaguers squeezed nearly all of their stamina, speed, skill and soul into the mini-marathon-tournament 24 hours before.

Monkey is one who suffered the most serious human resources-losses when nearly half of their troops still not yet recharged overnight and more than that they had to confront with a strong, eager-to-revenge, full charge team - the Red Monk. Meanwhile, without Jensen's service, Tuan nhi's speed, Lester's D, Black Pigsy seemed finding a hard time in the battle with Demon lead by Vu "Superman- Return" (as he kept repeating it during the mini tournament).

Get into the detail:

Away-river field, Monkey vs Monk. In the Chinese novel "Travel to the West", the Monkey King was tamed by the Monk and then served him as the right hand. Last Sunday seemed a good day for Monk to realize the script. Monk started the game as they wanted by taking 4 points lead over the Monkey. However, the Red Monk seemed run out of gas on the way to regain their mojo when the score reached 6-2. This is the time Monkey fought back and showed every team that how they still be the king of the hill. The Monkey scared Monk by 9 points scored in series before shut it down with the score 11-7. Monk still don't know how they it became like that.

Everything happened nearly the same in the other field when the Black Pigsy with the return of the "Giant" Gary, a HAT 2007 runner-up player - Luke and especially the new MVP of mini tournament Trung-be overwhelmed Blue Demon by a series 3 points lead. After a quick time-out discussion, Demon seemed finding out the way to cool down the Pigsy by narrowed the gap by 5-3 before 1st half closed. In the second half, the Demon came back strongly, made it a competitive contest and then simply won the battle. The final score is 11-6.

Notice that, due the shortage in players, the arm-band and head-band rule was temporarily put away. As a matter of fact, the matches went the way they used to be - the Individual Domination. However, Ya! Notwithstanding with the above I want to say OUT LOUD: WE HAD THE VERY FIRST WOMEN TO WOMEN SCORE AND IT WAS MADE BY LIEN to KELLY of THE DEMON.

Some records of the League so far I recorded:

1) The most handsome man : Tino Tran (3 votes)

2) The fast point: the universal point in match between Pigsy and Monk round 1. (the mysterious point Vu tattoo mentioned)

3) The longest point: the 9th point in the match Demon vs Monk round 2 (so many turnovers and most of Demon as well as Monk line up came out for sub)

4) Highest score by a team : 13 points (Demon)

5) Lowest score by a team : 0 (Monk)

6) The most attractive match: Monk vs Pigsy (week 3, round 1) - the game was neck to neck all the way to universal point.

7) Longest domination in personal performance stat : Sarah (6 weeks leads the women scoring machine stat), David Jensen (5 weeks leads both scoring machine and assist stats of men).

8) Most defensive team: Monkey King

9) Most offensive team: Monkey King

10) Most sucessful Cup-Defend team: Black Pigsy.

Guys and gals

Here come one more junk mail from League organizers.

Week 4 has witnessed the great rebellion of the Monkey when they pulled off a 9-8 upset victory against the invulnerable Balck Pigsy while a "un-break/believe-able" record was set up by the Demon against the Monk . Details as below.

Sunday 30mar2008 marked a hard-struggle day for every team 'cause of the massive absence of KEY players.
- Monk cried a lot due to the absence of Vu tattoo, Tuan Do and HAT 2007 MVP- Vinh
- Pigsy in big trouble without Jensen's chicken wing and Sarah-the scoring machine
- Monkey must operated 200% men power because 3 of their men realxing on the beach.
- Demon still looking for the return of Steven Shin and Simon.

On the river-side field the Monkey King let the Giant Pigsy taste the bitterness of defeat. On the first half, with the late come of David and the absence of Sarah, Pigsy allowed Monkey freely swung point to point and finally closed the first half at 6-2. On the second half, Pigsy had felt more relax with the service of the mighty Jensen and started the counter-attack. However, it just too little bit too late as Monkey put their last breath to hold on a 9-8 victory.

Here come the exciting part. The Demon has awaken after a long winter sleep with the unbelivable, unbreakable record victory 13-0 over the Red Monk. Go to the detais:
The Demon came to the match with highest concentration and enthusiasm as they felt that it gonna be their first victory, the victory that might turn the League upside down. Meanwhile, the Monk seemed to acknowledge their current difficulty with the absence of the main troop, they discussed, strategized a lot for the attack and defense. The Monk had tried many types of offense, launched lots of defend stances before realized that it's futile to the fearful awake of River Demon.

I would say, the league now turns it head with these victories and it's ...... not crazy anymore. Let me remind you about the Saigon Ultimate League 2007. The Blue Dart was too strong when they gained 3 straight victories on 1st round then started to run out of gas after being taken down by Blackass. Yellow Submarine had been sinked during 3 straight losses in round 1 before regained their mojo after 1st victory on round 2 and finally become the king of the hill.

So.... let's make it crazy, let's not make the history repeat as the Demon cheered after match : "Can anyone stop us please!!!!"

Some funny moments, says, moves, etc I captured on the field would like to share, sorry for not taking any photo:

- Tino kept saying "Buda" or "Budu" or many things like that during match Monk vs Demon. It really confused me of what Monk going to do and it definitely scared me. It sounds like they're using their secret spells.
- Trang Tran did not recognize the point scored by Steven Thompson because she saw a headband on his head. Actually, it's his own headband. It took me thousand kilogram calorie to explain this.
- Lester kept saying "I'm the best cup D man, I'm the best cup D man, I gonna do cup D" - sure, he's super star in cup D
- Monkey did the cheer for the universal point on................ Brandon's head.
- Jensen complained why soft cap so early but then Anne said "David, you come late".
- Monk laid on the field to stretch muscle before the disc pulled by Demon hit Tino's ass, I remember. (is it right Tino?)

Anymore funny things from you guys want to share?

P.S
