Hiya! How's everyone?
Got the word today that WFDF rules will be used in Sing Open this
year! There are one and many reasons why Lance, et al. decided to use
this instead of UPA; key of which is that the tourney is now part of
WFDF with Sing becoming a full fledge member.
Sir Stef Stevens, who sits in the WFDF board can explain this much
better...
Aus ultimate scene has been using WFDF and we have had recent sessions
on the latest 2008 update of WFDF rules. I have attached the shortcut
version made by a Melbourne player, this should be handy and should
give you enough time if discussions and translation are needed.
Not everything is in here, but this should enable you to kick ass and
give that valid call or contest in Sing without looking silly.
It is also important that your practice fields in Hanoi and in Saigon
should be adjusted to the official field size of WFDF. It is a bit
shorter, and the size of the end zone is 18m deep vs. 22m of UPA. So
David Jensen needs you to accurately run that distance when he hucks--
believe me, he can throw any distance with precision all you need to
do is to sky before the 18m deep runs out!
...having opened the rules discussion board, holleration is expected!

p.s. i will be in vietnam 26 july to 03 aug 2008 for work. i should be
able to find time holding a 'tips' and 'tricks' session around the
updated WFDF rules!
