Dear Sucers,

I have 2 news.
The bad one is that I won't be able to make it to Manila Spirits because the
good news is that I'm taking a semester off starting in October so I'll be
traveling in Oceania and Philippines (but only from December).
But of course, I'll keep coming to pick ups until I leave.

Go Vudoo!

> Manila:

> - Vudoo will send a mixed team to the Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Club
> Championships / Manila Spirits, to be held from November 6-8, 2009 (3-day
> tournament!). This tournament also serves as qualifications for 2010 World
> Ultimate Club Championships in Prague next year... (more on that later!)
> - Goal: Top 4 finish among Asian Ultimate teams (not counting Japan &
> Australia)
> - Players will be expected to train 2x / week with the team:
> - Speed & fitness at Hoa Lu track every Thursday evening from 7-8pm
> - Skills & strategy at RMIT every Saturday morning from 9-11am
> - Players will be expected to make measurable gains during the next 3
> months of training and to reach certain benchmarks regarding speed,
> endurance, and skills.
> - Training partners will be assigned so that each of us can help each
> other achieve our goals.
> - All players from SUC & RMIT are welcome to join Vudoo in training and
> in Manila. Ideal team size is 18-20 players, but we can consider a larger
> roster if more players are committed to training with the team and would
> like to support the team in Manila.
> - In special cases, players may be permitted to do some training on
> their own and still be eligible to join the team, provided that this is
> discussed in advance and agreed upon with captains.
>
> Everyone interested in participating in this ambitious program is asked to
> confirm their commitment to Vu Anh Vu and myself by email no later than *Wednesday,
> August 19.* This does not obligate you to go to Manila, but does mean that
> you agree to train with the team. As each of us makes this commitment and
> puts forth the effort to take Vudoo to the next level, we will be amazed
> by the results we see both in our own skill level and fitness, as well as in
> the team's accomplishments and success.
>
>
>
> We will have our first track work-out this *Thursday at 7pm *at Hoa Lu
> stadium (corner of Dinh Tien Hoang & Nguyen Thi Minh Khai), followed by our
> first skills & strategy training on *Saturday morning at 9am *at RMIT.
